Our Different Types of Support

Hi Fivers

Especially set up for children aged between 7-11 years of age  ( junior school). This unique group in held on a Saturday and only available to families receiving support.

Established in August 2015 children have already taken part in the naming of the group and choosing the logo above.
Dedicated staff and volunteers co-ordinate activities each session. FREE registration to Home-Start Dinefwr families.

Safe environment for children to socialise and learn basic life skills through fun. Healthy snacks provide a varied diet and let children experience new foods. Team games, crafts, money sense, fun with science and much more.

Bouncing Babies

Weekly meeting for mothers with babies 0-9 months

  • Chat and share experiences
  • Safe and friendly environment for you to meet new friends
  • When – Wednesday 10am 12pm
  • Location – Ammanford
  • Tea, coffee and toast
  • Facilities for feeding and changing
  • Speak to your Health Visitor for referral or call us on 01269 593853

Basic Skills

Any family accessing the core home-visiting service will have the added benefit of 1:1 with Project Support. Dedicated to improving basic life skills for parents and children.
Funded by The Big Lottery Fund this project is:

  • FREE and confidential
  • led by the needs of your family
  • can be to work directly with your children, you the parent or the whole family.
  • Visiting for as long as you need to help with household routines, healthy eating, cooking routines and meal planning, managing challenging child behaviour and guidance on establishing routines.

Project Support staff have access to a large store of resources to work with children and parents in the home.Once receiving support your Organiser can discuss this further.
